Our Process

Feel free to reach out to us via phone, email or in person at our showroom. Currently, we do not require appointments. We can gather much of the information remotely; however, we strongly recommend, especially in the case of natural stone, that our clients view the material before making a final decision. 

Selection of Stone

We encourage our clients to bring any cabinet doors, paint samples or any other items needed for color consideration. This is effective both in our showroom and at our suppliers’ locations. While we do have many samples and slabs on site to choose from, we may recommend a visit to one of our valued suppliers. Both our staff and that of our suppliers are knowledgeable in the type of material and best use for each specific project. 

Building the Quote

Measurements of the area to be covered in stone are necessary to create a quote. We need the configuration of the area to know how many slabs, placement of seams, layout considerations and more. We will be unable to provide pricing without them. Final measurements will be verified at the time of the template. We will also determine edge details, cut-outs, extra enhancements, and any other special project details needed to build as accurate a quote as possible. 

Finalizing the Quote

Once a decision to move forward is made, we take a minimum of 60% deposit and get a signature of approval. We do not accept credit cards. Upon receipt of the deposit, we can schedule a date to visit the site to create a template. 

Templating 

On the day of templating, all cabinets must be installed. In addition, all faucets, sinks, cook-tops, dispensers, etc. must be on-site. Farm sinks must also have been installed into the cabinetry. If we are templating current tops, please be sure to clear the area of all debris and appliances for accuracy. Someone in the final decision process must be present on-site to discuss any additional job details. Any changes from the initial quote vs. the template will be discussed and signed off on before proceeding with the work. This may cause delays in the schedule.  

Note: A&S Stone Fabricators does not remove or install any plumbing or electrical work. 

Installation

On the day of installation, a clear, safe path free of debris to and from the workspace is required. A&S Stone Fabricators will install any undermount sinks. The faucets, plumbing and electrical work will be done by the client’s contractors. Final payment is due at this time.
